We are PISE's newest board, and we hit the ground running. Alongside our fellowship programmes, we've launched several new initiatives to help more Erasmus students engage with effective altruism in meaningful ways. 2025 - 01/2026

Board VI was yet again highly motivated to keep PISE growing. Our highlight of the year was bringing members to EAGx Berlin, connecting our community with researchers and fellow students tackling the world's most pressing problems. Back home, we kept running our fellowships and growing a community of people who take doing good seriously. We believe PISE is always a work in progress and we loved being part of that journey.

2024-25

Board V was driven by the belief that doing good requires both careful thinking and real action. A highlight of our year were two research projects carried out with NGOs in Uganda and Nigeria, giving members the chance to contribute to meaningful work beyond the classroom. Through our fellowships and events, we kept challenging ourselves and our community to continuously improve how we think about impact. We are proud of every member who showed up with curiosity and ambition.

2023-2024

Board IV was driven by the desire to learn alongside our members, challenge our thinking and uncover some biases we might have. Also, we aimed to keep our members updated and support them regarding opportunities within high-impact jobs, internships, and various learning projects. Lastly, we believe one of the best ways to learn is through doing! So throughout the year, we’ll be running various committees, focusing on hands-on projects and learning!

2022-2023

In June of 2022, Board III embarked on our journey to bring PISE to an even higher level, grow our community and its members. By creating opportunities for members and building bridges within EUR and the global Effective Altruism community, we aim to create an unprecedented infrastructure for student growth to make the most Positive Impact possible!

2021-2022

After our first year online, Board II came together to successfully guide the transition from online to offline events for the first time. Although met with ongoing pandemic restrictions the second board managed to engage a big, enthusiastic community of students from all around the world, with different study backgrounds in what it means to do good effectively. We are proud of the countless ambitious people with whom we are becoming better at making the world a better place.

2020-2021

Rotterdam is a city with people that have a can-do attitude. So when these six Rotterdammer(t)s started building an organisation from the ground up, not even a pandemic could stop them in making it successful. A year and many zoom calls and online events later we can only be proud at what they have built: A tight-knit community of students that are ambitious about social impact. Together we are becoming better at making the world a better place.
